This is a detached house with 6 separate gardens and courtyards in various levels of the house. Since it is surrounded by other higher houses, privacy becoming the main concern for the client. as the result, the HYLA Architect’s team create a courtyard at the back of the house that let light and ventilation in at the same time.
An upward flowing landscaped area culminating in a rooftop pool. To protect the house from heat, since it facing west, the architect creating a unique sliding screen so it won’t obstructing the view. On the ground floor, the wooden terrace provides shade to the house and also to enjoy the beautiful garden and koi pond.
The living room and the family room on the second floor have a double volume space. Both of the rooms are facing the courtyard with grotto as their private oasis of peace and serenity. In the infinity pool, we can see an interplay of shadows dance, overlooking a glass-less window of picturesque nature. The location of the entertaining space is in the roof. The client including gym, barbecue area, and roof top pool on it to gather around while enjoying the surround view and their own rooftop garden.
