Partition is a part of home design to separate one to another room. The models are numerous based on the flexibility and material. Flexible partition is fit for room with low privacy and can be removed easily. Flexible is different from temporary partition. Temporary partition is refer to the material that looks permanent but easy to uninstall. You can add temporary partition if you need more spaces for some occasions.

Flexible Partition

Flexible partition can be set by hanging, folding, or rearranging. Hanging partition use plastic or fabric as their material. Those materials should be light so that it is easy to be hung up. You can apply hanging partition by stick it to the ceiling or using rail.

Folding partition has several types. There are movable walls, centre folding, or fabric folding. You can choose which is best by the functions of between rooms. If you have large living room, you can separate it between guest and family room. Bathroom that is close with living room can also separate with foldable partition.

You can also place your flower/plant pot or rack as partition. This kind of partition will still allow the vision between rooms. You will easily rearrange the position anytime based on your mood.

Temporary Partition

Temporary partition need firmed decision before applying because it is not easy to move. Glass, wood, or even GRC (Glassfibre Reinforces Concrete) are the examples of material for temporary partition.  Glass partition still allow you to see between rooms.

As their characters for partition functions, people who live in a period, may use temporary partitions.  Although cheaper and lighter to install and uninstall, there will be more attention when you plan to hang paintings or any decorative objects. The materials are not tough as permanent walls, so you must be careful to take care of them.
