Take a look around your kitchen and clean the small appliances properly for long-lasting use.
Coffee Or Espresso Maker
Whether you use a drip coffee maker, fancy espresso, or a single pod coffee maker, they should be cleaned regularly for good-tasting coffee and to prevent bacteria growth. Coffee makers combine warmth and moisture, perfect breeding grounds for mold and bacteria growth. You can start all removable parts of the coffee maker after every use to clean away coffee grounds and oil. After that, wash parts that can be hand washed with warm, soapy water, or place them in the top rack of the dishwasher. Do not forget to empty the water reservoir and drip trays. Next, wipe down the outside of the maker and warm plates with a clean damp cloth. Make sure everything dries out before you put it back.
Juicer, Blender, Or Food Processor
To clean these appliances, you can rinse out the blender or juicer cup with plain water. After that, you can fill it half full with two drops of dishwashing liquid and warm water. Next, you can give it all a whirl for 30 seconds. Then, pour the solution over the lid as you just empty the cup in the sink for cleaning
After doing the process, you can disable the appliance blade and lid parts then rinse well in hot water and allow to air dry completely before reassembling. For hard-to-reach spaces between knobs or buttons, you can use a clean soft toothbrush dipped in a solution of warm water and a drop of dishwashing liquid to remove particles. As a finishing, wipe it down with a clean cloth dipped in plain water and allow it to air dry.
Waffle Maker or Panini Press
The waffle maker or panini press is a nonstick surface. You can clean it properly by unplugging the appliances. Then, use wet paper towels and use metal tongs to hold them as you wipe down the hot grill. Once the appliances are completely cool, mix one cup of warm water with a drop or two of dishwashing liquid to dampen a clean soft cloth.
Toaster or Toaster Oven
For a toaster, you can unplug the appliances and open trap doors or shake them upside down over the sink or trash can remove loose crumbs. For the toaster oven, you can wash the removable tray or toasting rack in hot soapy water, rinse, and air dry after every use.
