The owner of this Clapton Home in London was asked Scenario Architecture to renovate their flat. This house was getting freezing cold in winter and overheated during summer. It is because of the old glass conservatory that blocking the sunshine. Sounds frustrating, right?

With the spacious back facade, the grand dimension of this flat might be a conversion of a large Victorian villa. But large space is nothing without a proper home design. So how the architect solve those problems?

The client itself were after a modern open extension which bring plenty of natural light to the living room, while the architect itself wanted to respect the original proportions. After some discussion, this is the result: a unique design, with a combination of a modern open extension that so many natural light without ignoring the original appeal.

Now, this flat was filled with a largely glazed timber with garden as the view that you can see from the kitchen and dining area. And plus, this lounge-vibe spot is so cozy. Thank’s to the original back wall remained intact with windows and doors, that when it’s open, it create an internal balcony that make you think that you have your own private lounge.
